My services are rooted in therapeutic recreation, which means I use structured leisure, creative engagement, and nature-based practices to help people improve quality of life, reconnect with meaning, and rediscover joy.
You won’t find quick fixes here — instead, I offer experiences that support resilience, nervous system regulation, and self-discovery through gentle routines and eco-aligned creativity.
My offerings include:
Nature-based wellness coaching & retreats
Mindful movement and grounding practices
Stress and sensory regulation tools for daily life
Creative expression sessions using non-toxic, upcycled, and repurposed materials
Wellness journaling, leisure planning, and self-reflection tools
Specialty arts-based programs, including my signature no-kiln ceramics series — a tactile, earth-honoring exploration of sustainability, mindfulness, and self-expression

I am a nationally certified Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist – Behavioral Health (CTRS-BH), trained to use recreation and creative expression as a pathway to emotional well-being, nervous system regulation, and personal growth. This credential ensures that my work meets ethical and evidence-based standards, while still allowing for creative, flexible, and trauma-informed delivery.
My background includes:
Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Administration with a Concentration in Therapeutic Recreation, and a Minor in Art from Texas State University
CTRS-BH designation through the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC), specialized in behavioral health care
Specialized training in chronic pain management, trauma recovery, mental health and nature-based wellness
Ongoing study in sustainable art materials, functional movement, and integrative health
I do not offer clinical therapy or medical advice. Instead, I provide experiential, strengths-based support that empowers you to reconnect with your body, creativity, and inner landscape through nature-informed practices and wellness consulting.

At Rooted Wild, creativity is a healing tool — and it should be accessible, earth-conscious, and pressure-free. I design multi-medium art experiences using:
Natural, non-toxic, biodegradable materials
Upcycled and repurposed tools
Low-barrier, inclusive processes that invite play, presence, and expression without perfection
From clay to collage, everything is intentionally chosen to support both you and the environment, empowering you to create without waste, guilt, or overwhelm.
-
I don’t diagnose or treat. I don’t offer prescriptions or performance-based programs.
Instead, I offer space, structure, and support — so that you can reconnect with the parts of yourself that already know how to grow, rest, adapt, and heal. Rooted in leisure theory, therapeutic recreation practices, CBT/DBT based interventions and an intrinsically motivated strengths based approach. This work is for the burnt out, the curious, the creative, the overwhelmed — and anyone longing to feel more rooted, more free, and more at home in their own body and life.
Welcome to Rooted Wild — a space to reconnect with your inner and outer landscapes.

🧠 Managing Chronic Stress, Pain, or Burnout
We offer integrative practices that help regulate the nervous system, ease physical discomfort, and cultivate inner resilience — especially for those navigating invisible illnesses, mental fatigue, or emotional overwhelm.
🌱 Seeking Natural & Sustainable Approaches to Wellness
If you’re drawn to earth-centered healing, non-toxic materials, and mind-body practices rooted in nature, our offerings provide a grounded alternative to traditional models of care.
🎨 Curious Creatives, Neurodivergent Thinkers, and Sensitive Souls
Whether you’re highly sensitive, creatively inclined, or seeking new ways to explore your internal world, our experiential sessions offer nonverbal pathways to self-discovery and emotional regulation.
🧘♀️ Practicing Self-Inquiry or Transitioning Through Change
We support people in life transitions — healing from trauma, shifting careers, becoming caregivers, re-centering after burnout — with gentle, creative rituals and structured support.
🤝 Professionals and Providers Seeking Personal Restoration
Therapists, educators, healthcare workers, and helpers of all kinds often come to Rooted Wild to reconnect with their own needs and creative spark. Our programs offer space to recharge, reflect, and root back into purpose.

Like many of the people I work with, I didn’t arrive at this work by accident. My approach is shaped by my own journey through:
Navigating chronic pain and nervous system dysregulation
Living with neurodivergence and exploring creative expression as a regulatory tool
Working in wilderness programs, art education, and mental health support settings
Finding healing in quiet spaces, sustainable materials, and connection to land
These experiences aren’t just part of my story — they are what keep my practice honest, grounded, and human. I know how valuable it is to be met without judgment, to move at your own pace, and to be given tools that adapt to your body and your life.
I create spaces that are gentle, flexible, and responsive, because I’ve been where my clients are — and I still walk that path.
